User auth for web proxy servers blows-- no support for encrypted channels built-in, so you end up with a hacked out-of-band solution. Lame!

My brain hurts-- squid, dansguardian, clamav, adzapper, IP tables, and a local authentication DB hack to support 5 different user classes

The only problem with heating your house with wood is hauling the wood. Makes the house nice and comfy though...

Geez the RAID/LVM configuration section of the Ubuntu interactive installer is convoluted-- surely this could be handled better...
