@PamelaPaulNYT @nytimesbooks a minor correction but Tracy calling 32-bit machines laughable compared to iPods is incorrect. Only the very last iPod (6th gen, 2015) had a 64-bit CPU. In fact iPhons 5S was the first smart phone ever with a 64-bit CPU, all prior models were 32-bits.

I've been using Linux for more than twenty years now, but I honestly can't reliably configure a global DNS over TLS on a laptop that regularly changes connections. I used to find such experiences humbling, but now just outright annoying.

pdf-view-midnight-minor-mode is delightful.
Experimenting with a new digital office:
- org-roam & org-mode for notes
- pdf-tools for reading PDFs
- org-ref/ivy-bibtex
So far this is feeling very smooth! Particularly liking not blinding myself with white backgrounds by using pdf-view-midnight-minor-mode 😌

It is! As I understand recent versions of macOS have this functionality built-in. I bought a PC about a week ago and for the first time in almost a decade I'm using Linux through a proper screen and not a dull laptop one so I really needed this.
