Nice! I guess it is only for Linux and non-Mac Unixes, right?

It is! As I understand recent versions of macOS have this functionality built-in. I bought a PC about a week ago and for the first time in almost a decade I'm using Linux through a proper screen and not a dull laptop one so I really needed this.

They do, f.lux originated on Mac and Apple used that idea in macOS and iOS, but Apple’s implementation seems to only work with their own internal and external displays, and f.lux is too orange for my taste, I should tune it though. And congrats for the proper screen!
