i have a career in text based online communities. langauge has no filters. even when using a synonym the character shows via chosen language etc. i find all of this fascinating.

It's best to understand CHATGPT as amputated and partial intelligence. Or, an ingredient of intelligence. There is a lot missing. Frame its responses as "What would an answer to this question sound like?" - the "would" part is why it can produce massive BS. It's meant to.
