I’m done with ChatGPT for a while. It’s sucked the joy out of prompt writing for me. Default writing quality is easy to achieve but hard to improve; opaque front-end and high temperature prevent the sort of casual analysis and experimentation that made fall in love with GPT-3.

Feedback greatly appreciated! Would a “power user” interface to the same model restore the magic, or does the model itself feel less fun for serious prompt engineering?

GPT3 feels like it actually has a "soul" when I talk to it in the playground. I can relate to it and can spend hours playing with it. ChatGPT3, with it's constant and paternalizing reminder that it's just an LLM, or acting like the morality police, is boring.

THIS is the magic of GPT3, imo

As a 'power user' of all things related to this field, these restrictions in the current model certainly do take away much of the 'magic', and also potentially are stifling the growth of the system as a whole. Just my mammalian 2-cents

Any news on how long GPT3 chat will be free for? What's the estimated pay as you go cost?
