Very cool to see how useful Copilot already is. Easy to forget that it’s still just the beginning of the road for this technology, and in a few years it’ll be astronomically more useful than it is today.
GitHub Copilot is like giving a programmer a super power🦸

It's useful about 25% of the time for Apex, in those simple situations where the implementation just isnt worth writing a snippet for. I'll definitely continue using it see it improve.

how much do you use copilot in your own work? (and how has your usage grown since launch?)

True! Been using it and it's quite amazing, saves plenty of time. All the best to Copilot.

been using it since this week and it did save me some time. It even learned by bad commenting style and puts a '#this doesn't work?' on some lines it generates.

i used copilot in studying the basics of go. i tried it in an existing codebase in typescript, but it struggles to provide useful suggestions based on our existing code

I remember the old days when Eliza came out. Generated output sentences based upon input sentence. Result looked like speech yet merely rambled. Watching recent AI versions and seems to do same. Missing real understanding while appearing like it does. Something missing.

"it'll be astronomically more useful" is a really powerful thing to say
