ML work feels more like baking than engineering to me. Whip a model together, twist some knobs, let it bake, and taste the results (repeat forever). I'm terrible at baking, may stick to engineering.

The better the engineering, the faster you can scale up your experimentation and deployment, which might unveil new value added to society. ML Engineering is the most exciting field these days! Happy to be part of it :)

At this point by the time I graduate with my degree in ML all my knowledge will have been obsolete a year before my degree was obtained
