I'll never forget the time I visited Citizen's offices in its early days and realized the engine of the company was a room full of people listening to police scanners and transcribing what they heard.

Have done and do this. It's true. But so founders know... Doing so doesn't mean it will attract support automatically and in fact might make it harder for you. So just know you'll be misunderstood and that's the signal you are on the right path... provided you keep going.
