While I wish you lots of success with the @OpenAI StartupFund, I just submitted my AcademicAccessApplication on Monday. You would make a huge dream of mine come true if you could enable me to base my MA thesis research on GPT-3💜🎓😎 This is what I have in mind as thesis project:

Sounds cool. But does this mean OAI will emphasise this over the basic research from now on? Would be sad to lose the momentum in transformer scaling.

First you make models close source by releasing api and then. Funding only those startups who are using their api... Openai is running agenda to make ai close source than being made open to public
