.@mpastell We also do that for R too for timelier updates. Yet we do not break the base package which is still some egg on Julia's face.

@eddelbuettel @mpastell I seem to recall breaking changes in versions of R pre 1.0.0. Apples and oranges.

.@BatesDmbates My principal issues were 1) Julia & Ubuntu failed to get a working binary out (works in Debian) and 2) a poorly chosen test.

. @BatesDmbates To reiterate: I mostly object to Julia folks constantly infighting with R. Why? Lastly, change is good when managed.

@eddelbuettel @BatesDmbates where's a sense of Julia infighting with R coming from? there's no animosity here. fib is just a recursion test
