@eddelbuettel I did it. But in order to upgrade to the new rgl version I was forced to use the procedure I linked. Thanks anyway!

Use "sudo apt-get build-dep r-cran-rgl" to get the build dependencies -- this is encoder per package too @onertipaday @onertipaday
