Question for #Rcpp folks: This WE, I implemented some code in C++ for performance gain using the amazing {Rcpp} 馃ぉ The performance varied wildly depending on how it was compiled devtools::load_all() makes the c++ code much slower. Any idea on what could cause this? 馃檹 #rstats

Bonus question: is there any way to get the installed performance while using devtools::load_all()?

I was traveling last week and did not see this. You would be well-advised to use the (friendly, low traffic) rcpp-devel mailing list, or use stackoverflow as tweeting, as you saw, has limits in who it reaches. In short: use a package. Check and control compiler flags.

Thanks for the head's up! I'll make sure to follow your advice and look into the rcpp-devel mailing list
