Lazyweb: is it legit to require R >= 4.2 on CRAN? My package currently suffers from a compilation error on R 4.1 on Windows, which cannot be reproduced on my local or GitHub CI. It seems a few packages already specify so, so I'm wondering if I can follow them... #rstats

"Legit" may mean different things to different people. You are allowed to specify a constraint, but it may upset people stuck with R 4.1.* on non-Windows platforms. I would condition out the offending code. #rstats 4.1 is old-rel and will be gone in nine months anyway.

Thanks, yeah I'm trying to avoid it, but I wanted to know if it won't upset the CRAN people just to prepare for the worst case scenario...
