I've been trying out Ubuntu for a couple of weeks now. One #rstats-related thing I wish I had known sooner is that package installation errors messages are actually quite informative. 👌🏾 Just drop the suggested commands into your terminal and the installation will work. 🚀

Oh my god!! I have spend almost all my weekend trying to set up R in my shiny server in Ubuntu focal , and failed. Miserably. I did it just now within 10 minutes. I love you all 💜

Now I am trying to install {leaflet} and I can't . I think it's because of {sp} or {raster} on 'focal'. Any tips? [Very new to Linux here]

I prefer and use current Ubuntu releases, so it is 22.04 for myself, Using r2u with bspm set up (as eg in the demo container) all it takes is a single $ install.r leaflet and you can then do `library(leaflet)` in #Rstats. So you can, I would consider upgrading to 22.04.
