Why did I just learn about the #rstats {bspm} package? I updated to R 4.2.0 and installed all my packages in under 2 minutes! However, it keeps asking me to root access, any idea?

I am guessing it is because it uses apt under the hood, just want to make sure I understand correctly :)

I think so, but it should only ask you once (or whatever the timeout you use). It is quite handy for large updates. It was a great effort by @enchufa2

I guess you installed bspm in the user library. It should never ask anything if you install bspm as root in the first place (see instructions in the README). /cc @eddelbuettel
