😳 That sounds no fun! I don’t have examples of that right now, but I think fs::file_info() would help you with that!

There are many ways: base #Rstats reads files and dirs as vectors, has file.info() + regexps, parses datetimes, ... A few years ago I gave a (jokingly titled) talk "R for SysAdmins" showing this (using @rdatatable) at @mattgodbolt's OSOM. dirk.eddelbuettel.com/papers…
