This numerical problem in R almost reversed my analysis result. Specify the precision when comparing floating numbers. Or use `all.equal()` function which tests if two objects are nearly equal.

It's irritating when one first encounters it but it ... is also more or less a rite of passage.
See the ("famous") R FAQ answer 7.31 which is about this -- and so famous that "7.31" really is just shorthand for these problems. #rstats
