Very nice! I have five or six #rstats repos for which I use @squidfunk's mkdocs-material (via Docker) with some simple custom converters for NEWS.Rd and ChangeLog. Vignettes (both pdf and html) are indeed a little manual but I will explore how your `altdoc` package can help.
