Yes. Better yet, `install.packages()` can pull in .deb binaries (!!) with over 5k Ubuntu LTS binaries, or, for those who prefer Fedora or OpenUSE, even ~ 16k binaries. Pre-made, with proper depends. See eg arxiv.org/abs/2103.08069 and the useR talk by @Enchufa2 and me
