Hey #RStats What is the best practice for reporting potential bugs if a package doesn't have a github? I think I found a bug in the {tree} package. I have tried this with 3 different datasets and each time using df causes the issue.

You can email the Maintainer listed in DESCRIPTION. And please keep us posted, we would love to hear what BDR tells you about the supposed 'bug' here (hint: it is a side effect of another large package you loaded).

thanks for that, I will look at emailing BDR although if I'm understanding your code correctly you are saying the tidyverse or a package inside of it is causing a side effect and its not actually a bug inside of the tree package correct?
