#rstats Goals (1: done) Run Docker with the RStudio image, have it point to a directory on my computer. (2) be able to read and write to that directory in RStudio. (3). Keep the libraries I install for the next time. So far Docker seems like Alchemy.

Not alchemy, just careful use of standard recipes:
For 1) and 2) you want to learn about the -v and -w switches to Docker.
For 3) as _you alter the container_ you need to write it out again which `docker commit` does.
