CRAN is still so darn impressive. An #rstats package with 823 reverse dependencies progresses through the update queue autoMAGICally in a few hours due to a bit of care, spit, polish and adherence to published policies on both sides. That service is a treasure. #rcpp

Actually, almost. This one still got a NOTE on windoze because the Dortmund setup (for some reasons ...) does not have a GITHUB_PAT whereas I managed to convince Vienna to add one so my numerous URL links tickle a NOTE in one and not the other... So one lightweight human check.

I could not agree more, the CRAN platform has continued to improve in great ways, and I am in constant awe of the efforts of their team. It's the major reason why the R pkg ecosystem is so orderly (v. e.g. PyPI or npm).
