Was thinking I should use docker to test this #rstats package with r-devel, but can't remember the most basic things about docker and can't find my notes. Oh yeah, I gave a lecture about it last spring 🙄 us-lti.bbcollab.com/recordin… kbroman.org/AdvData/schedule…

🤣 @eddelbuettel wrote the fancy version of my blog post on testing an #rstats pkg with docker.
R^4 #31: Test your package with bleeding edge gcc-11 A recipe, and a Dockerfile and container, to test R packages against the unreleased next gcc/g++ version dirk.eddelbuettel.com/blog/2… #rstats #RockerProject @docker

It's somewhat orthogonal to yours as you went towards `r-devel` (which we offer pre-made as you showed); this one veers towards "g++-devel". Connecting both endpoints for r-devel under gcc-11 is left, as we are wont to say, "as an exercise to the reader(s)". Both of them.

I just think that it’s both cool and hilarious…and let’s not even talk about the nature of the problem that I was debugging. 😳
