Good point, Dirk. I have had problems installing RStudio on some of my Linux machines. I don't use RStudio but I want to have it there on my machine so I know what my students go through who use it.

The problem that I have encountered is missing system libraries. RStudio installs but doesn't run. Granted, Linux is a niche market, but given the R Consortium's ties with Linux, I would hope for more.
