I am not even sure it _is_ a good start, but it was certainly inevitable that someone would bridge these two. Whether that ultimately makes sense, or not.

Still warp speed ("15.1 MB is 0s" and 2803 kB in 0s") for me from us-east-1 as per the screen shot. So issue may be local to you?

Agree in principle but happen to also put weight on 'overall computational literacy' and also include shell, git, a bit of sql -- and then R, wrangling, viz, ...

We had a couple of friends over and made this, and offspring #2 who is of the 'grammable' generation says the selfie is a good one so here you have it: two nerds, and a lasagna made with Marcella Hazan 'ragu' made during six hours the previous day.

Nice, but I liked the title of your old blog better. It's still in my RSS reader... Maybe you can link the two or reimport.
So someone fires three quarters of the bird site staff. Surprise, surprise service quality goes down. This is an ad-hoc 'search and mute and block' script of mine, here aiming recent (and rampant) crypto spam. Imagine what a dedicated engineering team could do to spambots.
