. @BatesDmbates To reiterate: I mostly object to Julia folks constantly infighting with R. Why? Lastly, change is good when managed.

.@BatesDmbates My principal issues were 1) Julia & Ubuntu failed to get a working binary out (works in Debian) and 2) a poorly chosen test.

Because use of LAPACK, BLAS, ... is a bad idea? MT @scottgonyea "writing C/C++ in R is one of my biggest criticisms of it"
