@ucfagls It is a custom Ruby-on-Rails thingy, and pretty nice to use. Don't know if you can "factor out" JSS bits to make it generic though.

@ucfagls Though as an editor, I still manage my manuscripts, reviews and reviewers the old-fashioned way. But JSS HQ @ UCLA has software.
@ucfagls You could talk to the JSS which wrote its own software (atop of RoR) to manage the journal -- all open source all the time.

@geoffjentry If in doubt, RTFW and Section 1.1.5 of 'R Exts' suggests to pick ... either one. My preference is .RData.
