@joshua_ulrich Well, Rcpp 0.6.0 in Nov 2008 was the rebirth and hence its "2.0". But that leaves me "Visual Rcpp" or some other prank :)

@johnmyleswhite Either one is fine, rownames is a little nicer and both are preferable to a very icky row_names.

@ananelson But you can also start R via 'R --no-save ...' as @hadley already pointed out.
@ananelson Yeah, it is one of those things, see "‘save.defaults’, ‘save.image.defaults’: see ‘save’." in ?options, hence ?save too.
@ananelson Err, not so. There are: q("no") won't save, and there is options("save.default"). Likewise 'R --no-restore[-data]' at startup.

@hadleywickham sorry, my bad, I shot too quickly from the hip: it was matlab::reshape. My bad.
@hadleywickham It says reshape 0.8.4 which is the current CRAN version.
@hadleywickham reshape(), hiding stats::reshape(). But I am not sure if I loaded reshape or reshape2 as I appear to have both here.

@wesmckinn Yes you can, but putting the burden on the (package) user is "Doing It Wrong". Just say no to shadowing.
