I’ve been using #AnnotatedEquations in my recent papers. I think it really adds to the readability and understanding of the math. Here are some examples. It uses #tikz in #latex. Let me know if you like it. Happy for any feedback. [GitHub link: next tweet] #AcademicChatter +

Getting ready for a release but tempted to delay it another couple of weeks. I blame @eddelbuettel.
Congratulations on shipping 1.21 on 2021-01-20. We will never win over off-by-one errors. @Debian package built and shipped. (Unofficial) @Ubuntu package for 20.04 in my PPA. And #rstats package RQuantLib (aka "what #Rcpp was initially created for") builds unchanged.

While all you kids go on about web3, I am _chuffed_ to announce that I have come across web4. NFTs. In CSV format. On a USB drive. We are done here.

Indeed. As R^4 post #034 stated: "Less is more". Fewer components is better. Faster deployment in usage and CI, and likely less breakage and greater overall reliability. Clear win for vignettes, testing, and much more. #rstats dirk.eddelbuettel.com/blog/2…
Have started to play around with #rstats {simplermarkdown} after seeing @eddelbuettel highlighting it. Looks very promising. Would dramatically reduce build-time dependencies for packages that need a markdown vignette builder. cran.r-project.org/web/packa…

Did somebody say OCD? That's a run, bike ride, or exercise every day of 2021. It's almost as if the year was a pain in the rear needing an outlet. So here's to 2022....

"Neither group uses iso 8601 because the big-endian enthusiasts were all at the meeting 20 years ago." As programmer and data wrangler, dealing with dates, holidays, and time zones is a challenge. In #rstats and #cpp but good libraries help. Happy to help a little too.

"You can find a perfect correlation if you just control for the residual." The truth may well be unknowable but hey maybe your code runs ... so teaching / reasoning about statistical programming may be easier than actual modeling 😇 #rstats

I am delighted and deeply humbled that my dissertation has been awarded the 2022 Psychometric Society Dissertation Prize. I'm grateful to my advisor, Prof. Steven Culpepper, and my committee, who provided their time, support, and feedback leading to this moment.

Congrats to @julia_edd for whom I just cooked up a storm to celebrate a little --- and hopefully we all can celebrate some more in May with the rest of the @Cornell Class of 2022.
Congratulations to #Cornell2022 December graduates. All of us at the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy @Cornell are so proud of the work you have done and excited to celebrate your accomplishments! @CornellBPP
