Given where you were living before, I have to say I'm surprised you came back. *hugs*

Was Ansible, but now I'm just all-in on NixOS because if I'm going to fight with OS configuration I want to do it in one place from the inside.

Critically, I think, a good manager allows a team to succeed. A bad manager causes a team to fail.

Management is definitely a kind of leadership; but it's not the only leadership a technical team needs, and it's not what most technical people think of leadership. A good manager is also a bit of a coach/mentor in some aspects, but they're rarely the team/tech lead itself.

Probably :D With @sinkingpoint's reduced wordlist my solver gets today's in 3, with my current expanded wordlist it takes 4. For comparison I took 5 because I'm crap :D

answering the phone is hard enough, but if it's not someone I know then it's even worse. I am there with you on this one, even if none else are

If the numbers are to be believed, that's a 1.3kW continuous draw. It's almost certainly a full-on modern PC with dual head graphics running Windows.

Interestingly, my program which attempts to select the word which will maximise eliminations from the remaining set always picks `aster` as the first guess.

It's fixed only in the sense that the algorithm it uses to decide on its next guess is stable and so will always choose the same word to start with given its input dictionary. If I were to trim the dictionary to match whatever wordle actually use, I imagine it might change.

Fascinatingly today's was a toughie for my solver too - I mean, it got it, but it took 6 goes, just like I did. Hrmph.

Hrm, today's was hard by hand, but my solver got it in 3 -- Wordle 204 3/6
