Hopefully we're going to end up with proc-macros becoming pure things in a VM of some kind too, because ARGH the implications still hurt my brain

You'll hear nothing until someone screams "Your mod ate my entire computer and now I am destitute and a broken person" because an item routed wrongly.

I couldn't figure out where the comma(s) in "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" should go, so I hit myself in the face.

This commentary could be broadened to include many other examples. Fundamentally, politicians playing by "old" democratic rules can't understand, let alone negotiate with, politicians who constantly lie, and play games to get attention. They are living in different realities.
"Johnson is someone who lies all the time. Lies are ontological, elemental, essential for him" So ๐Ÿ˜€ I just subtitled into English what my friend @MarionVanR said about him on French TV, mentioning, among other things, the @PeterStefanovi2 video ๐Ÿ‘‡

Strong typing isn't a good reason to lack this kind of thing - it's more likely because of Go's lack of generic types that it's unable to do this in a nice standardised manner. Rust's Iterator trait has a `.sum()` (or in this case a `.count()`)

A lovely introductory puzzle today, thank you for your efforts. I am very excited for this year's #adventofcode Eric.

@garminuk my fr945 (18m old ish) spontaneously snapped one of its strap retention bits. Is it a repair job, or do I have to replace?

Hey @monzo how do I get the app to let me talk to a human? The help section is unable to answer my question.

The Health & Care Bill is back in the Commons tmrw. It divides the NHS into 42 areas led by Integrated Care Boards which - incredibly - private companies will be allowed to sit on. I believe private companies should *never* get a say in how the NHS is run. Pls RT if you do too

When I first discovered them it changed my life. Sadly people who ask me to terminate their ethernet cables rarely buy them :(

a popular myth is that people who are Very Computer have computers that work. nothing could be further from the truth. the Very Computer are capable of generating much more novel and fascinating ways to make computers not fucking work and exercise this capability wantonly

Sorry, realised I didn't address the point - I think `he/they` is essentially like I use. i.e. the person's default is `he` but they're perfectly happy with `they` -- of course, I could be very wrong :D
I tend to list my pronouns as he/him (they/them) because my default position is he/him, but I'm perfectly happy with they/them. I am trying to use they/them more generally where someone hasn't actually told me their pronouns though myself.
