Iβm thinking about The Mythical Man-Monthβs famous point, that adding engineers to a late software project makes it later, because
- it adds communication overhead
- some projects have durations that are inelastic because they are not parallelizable
It already *has* udev rules, I just think something is wrong with one of them. But I'm lazy enough I cba to fix it right now. Hopefully someone else experiences this too and scratches my itch for me :D
The one wrinkle which does irritate me a little right now is that I have to unplug/replug my yubikey after logging in, or else the dev nodes aren't the right permissions - bit odd that.
Another week, another few examples of "oh nixos is lovely" and no major "ARGH"s. My polybar config was a bit messed up but that was my fault, so all in all #nixos is proving itself to be a very competent replacement for Debian on my desktop.
I think it's time for us in the tech world to speak out and make it clear the emperor has no clothes here. Cryptocurrency is sustained by a mix of money laundering, vaporware, fraud, ransomware, gambling, and delusion. It has no social benefit except helping end first dates fast
