As for "way forward" -- sure, if your goal is massively fucking over anyone who earns less than about 40,000 pounds a year.
There is no political party which represent my views perfectly; though the conservatives do a good job of representing everything I deplore. They are lying cheating wankers of the highest order and I truly wish many of them uncomfortable illnesses which prevent standing as MPs.
While I'm not a labour supporter in general, I'd rather the 1970s which you're suggesting Corbyn is targetting, than the 1870s which the Conservatives have been aiming for.

Sadly while I'll be in the area, I'll be at BazelCon and then prepping for my flight home :/ I'm hoping to blithely ignore it all until I land at which point it'll be beyond hope anyway.

My guess is the seriously cold weekend has caused some elderly/infirm people to need treatment -- yay Conservatives.
