My most embarrassing mistakes as a programmer:
* I didn't ask for help
* I was afraid of what others would think
* I didn't follow through on a promise
* I didn't step up and take responsibility
* I avoided conflict
My biggest mistakes had nothing to do with programming.
As someone whose blog nominally allows comments -- I spend more time dealing with spam than anything useful. Just invite interaction on twitter/discord or via email.
I used to drink quite a bit; but over the past 20 years I have reached a point of drinking maybe one or two beers a year. I don't feel like I'm missing out.
Yers, it is a giant pile of fail. I do my best to only look stuff up on it via google image search; otherwise it annoys me into leaving it immediately.
