My tax return was filed on Jan 10th and paid in full on Jan 29th. Have a fright-o-gram in the post today telling me I've not paid my tax return on time.

I got a fright-o-gram one year, having not received a "you need to do a tax return". This was about a month before I received the "welcome to self-employment, your number is 'NULL'" letter. Gub'mint computer systems are AWFUL!

About 9 months later I got a letter saying "Please fill out the enclosed forms and return them to us no later than <date 1 year before the letter was dated>"
