(a) worth updating your pump thingy to use 280char tweets? (b) surely the TLS layer should be handled by something frontendy like nginx or varnish?

a) I know, I've been meaning to. it's not my codebase which is why I'm not very familiar with it :/ b) pump.io is a daemon. you can run it behind a frontend, but it won't work as well.

mostly WebSockets are hard to do right. also we have plans to automatically manage Let's Encrypt certs so you'll miss out on that.
