So the question is this: is @bbcradio4 wrong for transmitting utf8, or is @Hyundai_UK wrong for not processing it properly?

A decade+ of processing TV listings tells me it might also be invalid UTF-8. But UTF-8 as default please.

DAB standard says UTF-8 is the format.
