This is pretty much the argument for go fmt: a standard, machine enforceable coding style that everyone hates roughly equally :).

Interesting. I need to find time to get familiar with the rust ecosystem.

And clangfmt (sp?) has a good rep in the C world too. Golang has done well to persuade programmers towards automating good style
