Dear Internetz, what collective term would you use for these things in repo READMEs?

They tend to be referred to as 'badges'

I've seen that. I've also seen "brag badges" which I think amusingly self-effacing and "shields" which is a little grand.

I've only ever referred to them as, and seen them referred to as, badges. Given a lot of the time it's not 100%, brag seems a tad overdone
