I'm sure I've asked this before, but... Why aren't SRV records supported for HTTP/HTTPS? A/AAAA is really inflexible!

Stop putting your website at a domain name root and use CNAMEs. Simples <fx:squeak>

Sure, but for most people, they will then need a redirect service because most people don't type www. :S

Right, but such a redirector is relatively cheap to put wherever your domain A/AAAA goes.
