Does that maintain metadata? What on earth made @BowersWilkins switch from flac?

It does maintain metadata (apart from the album art, encoded as a 1500x1500 single-frame MPEG)

I have absolutely no idea; they've not reduced their storage costs as ALAC and FLAC both halve the size.
