I now know far far too much about the horrible side of network routing. Fake gateway IPs abound!

I've never before had to fake gateways, this is something new and special in my house of "Oh God, why do I know this?"

I assume by "fake gateways" you mean VRRP / HSRP / CARP etc?

I mean inventing an IP address for a gateway and stuffing a permanent neighbour table entry down. It's all ick
