I've seen this happen a lot. AirBnB seems a really unreliable way of doing things.

First time this has happened with a strict cancellation policy place for me. Then again I've only used them once before :-(

My manager tends to use them for trips to SF, but he's had hassle several times inc. last-minute cancellations.

Mmm, waiting to see what the appt. owner says, but if the worst comes to the worst, 4 nights in a hotel won't be much more :-)
