@frabcus So no weakening, but also no end-to-end (one of the strongest options we have) :-(

@dsilverstone the Baroness contradicts herself further into the article, saying no weakening, then demanding WhatsApp weaken.

@dsilverstone hmm - to be precise she said no "legislating backdoors" and then demanded WhatsApp "retain the keys", i.e. backdoor

@dsilverstone I don't think they have a clue. And to be fair it is all new and complicated, I don't think anyone knows the right answer.

@frabcus It's a complex area. What terrifies me is that since I can see how wrong they can be in this arena, how wrong are they elsewhere?
