The "Thinklight" on thinkpads is almost useful in pitch darkness. But in dingy light, it's simply no substitute for backlit keys

@directhex Backlit keys are no substitute for knowing your keyboard with your eyes closed :-)

@dsilverstone perhaps. I'm better using a full-sized keyboard in the dark than a laptop keyboard.
