it is crazy to me that there are people who fall asleep in less than 10 minutes. i've always taken at least half an hour to fall asleep, and i thought that was perfectly normal, and i only started to take sleep medication when it started getting worse than that.

with my current meds, it also takes me half an hour to fall asleep, but my sleep quality is a lot better and without the meds it's like 1.5 hours or more

someone once said in an asmr video that the average time to fall asleep was 7 minutes and I thought it was like a comedy thing

as a kid when I played the sims i would always think "how do these people fall asleep instantly, falling asleep takes like half an hour" how did I never know it was just meeee

Takes me upwards of 30 minutes usually. So it's not just you.

Yes, though it has pretty much always been the case for me. My husband (basically the same age) falls asleep in about 3 minutes and I hate him for it :D

if you struggle with it, see a psychiatrist! sleep meds help me a ton

I'm not sure if it's a struggle, it's just that my brain takes a while to switch off. I've found that singing to myself in my head helps a bit. But if it gets worse I'll keep that in mind. I'm glad they help you.
