I don't much enjoy choosing hardware and a new computer only becomes a joy when I'm fully done configuring it. Today/tomorrow, I'm choosing a Linux-friendly laptop for the new job, and a docking station and monitor to go with. I invite you to rave about your recent favorites!

I continue to prefer Thinkpads in the T4xx or X2xx series.

I chose a @Lenovo Thinkpad anyway, just a model that is still available new. After all, gotta encourage them to keep on producing Linux-friendly laptops!

I'll admit I've not bought one in years (my current one is a t480) so I had no idea what the model numbers are these days :/ I hope it works nicely for you.
