The people at openc2e (github.com/openc2e/openc2e) are still working on cloning the engine for a game I was one of the programmers on 22 years ago. The Internet is astounding!

I wonder if any of us have a link to whoever owns the IP for that series, and I wonder if they might be up for donating it to that project?

If I remember correctly, Cyberlife/Creature Labs owned all of it except for the music engine.

Good question! I think Eem Foo (who I've been exchanging emails with the last couple of days) has already been in contact with e.g. Toby Simpson, but perhaps not Ian Saunter. I'll ask them.

Also you might like this - yesterday I found a super early prototype of Creatures 1 in my archive, and Eem Foo has run it and extracted these images.
