I'm three years into this godforsaken degree and I still consider dropping out sometimes. Why didn't I just pick an easier university

seriously, I'm going to be done with all of the subjects I need except for Analysis and then I'll fail it one too many times, I can see it clearly already

2017 me was like "yea I'm super smart, I'm gonna enlist in the one university that is known for being extremely difficult, I wanna be like my super smart super awesome cousin" God I hate 2017 me

oooh, this feeling is taking me back to my first semester. Maybe I should've just switched universities then.

but then I also have this thought in the back of my head of "if you can't even complete this stupid degree, how will you be good enough to work in this field" hah

While degrees are useful, and if you *want* to get one you should do your best. they're not the be-all-and-end-all. I didn't get a degree until I was in my mid 30s and thought to myself "You know what, I have too much spare time." <narrator>He didn't have spare time</>

A lot of Brits tell me that, but apparently it is extremely hard to get a job here in Germany without a degree. It seems like they're a lot more important here than in most other countries.

Oh wow, I honestly had no idea :( Well *hugs* and if there's anything I can usefully do to help from far away, let me know :D
