Finally I played Detroit: Become Human through. And I am massively saddened that in the end my attempt to make choices was entirely derailed by my inability to handle 'Quick Time Events' - I was trying to play a story game, not a twitchy thing. Oh well.

Time to play nier:automata. This game story is damn great. So many philosophical implications, really loved it. If you have time, give it a try. ;)

That looks to be a run+shoot type game which is not really what I want. Have I misunderstood the high action rapid moving trailer video?

It's an action-rpg so it depends on your "build". A lot of actions for sure, but the game was pretty easy. There are some "shoots" game phases, but they're short. I don't know what I can talk about without spoiling actually XD

Specifically my difficulty is that I often simply 'freeze' up and can't get my hands to do what they need to on the game, rendering action sequences a bit difficult. I failed quick time events on Detroit:BH despite being on 'easy' mode. I failed them a *lot*.

Then it's fine, there is no QTE in the game. The combat system is pretty "easy" and I played in normal difficulty mode. If you want to focus on story, play in easy mode. :)

The main thing you need to do quickly in Nier:Automata is press the dodge button/key when you see an attack coming from a boss. You don't need to move in a specific direction (in fact, it may not be possible to dodge with normal movements).
